Day to day reality in the Dubai life?

Dubai life is probably not close to reality for outsiders -More like living in Disney World or a Sex in the City episode (Cant U see the similarities??;)

In Dubai you can spend all day fixng your nails and gossip at Spas or you can go trekking, off road driving or indoor skiing. Everyone can create their own kind of a dream lifestyle or in some cases- images here. But what all people Ive met here have in common is the positive view of live and the spontanity to try new things.

 Is this way of living the true way of life? Ive heard many views on the subject. As I allways felt: All kinds of life styles have something that the other ones have or does not have- But I only respect people choosing lifestyles they are proud and content over- otherwise- make a change!

The best thing about this place is that it has the lack of conformity that Sseden has. If you look at the people here you can see waht culture they belong to but they all have a personal style, while back home , most people wears the same brands and the same key fashion garments- with the fear of sticking out. Becuse its safe.

Yes, this is a fantasy land with a lot of issues bubbling under the surface. But that makes it just less boring and more interesting.

if I start to fly off a bit, just give me a slap...:) and I probably just keep on flying;)
